SilkTIP™ - Very Low Retention micropipette tips allow viscous liquids (e.g. glycerol) and with low surface tension (e.g. isopropyl alcohol) not to adhere inside of the pipette tips, significantly reducing experimental uncertainty. The ultra-hydrophobic surface of SilkTIP™ pipette tips prevents adhesion between the samples and the surface itself, facilitating fluid movement and ensuring complete tip emptying. This significantly reduces sample loss, providing much greater reproducibility when working with critical samples. They’re made of highly transparent medical polypropylene (PP), with additives, free from cadmium and other heavy metals, and are produced with particular precision for a perfect seal with most of the different models and brands of micropipettes on the market, as well as optimal directionality of liquids being emptied. Autoclavable, latex free. The tips meet the requirements of EN ISO 8655. Available in an autoclavable 96-piece rack with lid. The sterile versions sterilized by ionizer rays irradiation are free from DNA, DNase & RNase and PCR inhibitors, and pyrogen free. Also available the sterile version with a filter designed to eliminate the risk of contamination and altered results caused by contaminatedmicropipettes. The filter is hydrophobic, aerosol and fluid barrier, free from carboxymethylcellulose, ideal for uses in molecular biology, cell cultures, bacteriology, virology, immunology and radioimmunology.
